Our Community 2024

We are proud to present Our Community, a biennial, open call exhibition that highlights the inspiring work being made by artists who are part of The Clay Studio as Students, Associate Artists, Interns, Staff, Board, and Teaching Artists. The work on view encompasses the range of what inspires our artists, including: global cultures, traditional techniques, 3D printing, slip casting, installation art, humor, and political activism.

Small Favors 2024

April 11th - June 2nd, 2024

The 50th Anniversary edition of Small Favors presents almost 500 small artworks displayed in 4-inch cubes. Small Favors engages artists' creativity in new and exciting ways with the challenge of making art on a very small scale. Some create works in their usual style but at a reduced scale. Others use it to experiment and break away from what they create in their daily studio practice.

Joseph Pintz

May 3rd - June 30th, 2024

Joseph Pintz’s functional and sculptural ceramic work explores the role that domestic objects play in fulfilling our physical and emotional needs. Inspired by his Midwestern roots, Pintz creates mundane forms based on utilitarian vessels and other implements associated with the hand.
